KODOR PROMOTION/DEMOTION

KODOR PROMOTION/DEMOTION

The bimonthly iktiyar falls on the beginning of the AC period and this is the time when your characters can go up or down a kodor. Did you think magic school was easy? Don't worry, we'll walk you through it.

❶ Have you taken a strike during in the last two months? If yes and you are applying for a demotion, proceed to Step 2. If yes and you are applying for a promotion, clear your strikes first! If no, proceed to Step 2.

❷ Post to the current month's AC. Make sure you meet the requirements.

❸ Tag the latest iktiyar log and write out how the test will go for your character. Don't worry if you don't have the time to keep up a thread for it - we'll only tag back with your character's results.

❹ Fill out the appropriate form below and post it as a comment. If you have been promoted/demoted before, please put your new form under the first thread you made.

PROMOTION (5th to 3rd)

For promotions, we require a short essay on how a character got from their old kodor to where they are now. It doesn't have to be long! An example can be found here.

PROMOTION (2nd to 1st)

Essay requirements will be stricter. In addition, we will require extra activity for two months for this promotion. Don't panic! You may use activity from your AC comments. Regular AC is 20 comments across at least 2 posts per month, but for promotion, we ask for 30 comments across at least 3 posts per month. That's only 10 more comments more than regular AC!

Extra activity isn't required if a) your character is 2nd kodor and you are applying for 1st kodor or b) your character was previously demoted from 2nd kodor and you are applying for 2nd kodor and above.

An example can be found here.

DEMOTION (6th to 3rd)

For demotions, we also require an explanation on how a character got from their old kodor to where they are now. It doesn't have to be long! Characters who have strikes are allowed to apply for demotions.

Remember, if you want to keep your kodor, there is no need to comment to this page or the iktiyar log. You may, however, tag the iktiyar log to play out the iktiyar all the same!
