Applications will be reviewed on every second and fourth Saturday of the month, unless specified otherwise.
PLAYER INFORMATION
Your name: Your name or online alias.
Age: Your age.
Personal Journal: Your personal account.
Contact: Email, AIM, Plurk, etc. Please give us at least one other means of contacting you.
Current Characters: Only applicable if you have another character in the game.
CHARACTER INFORMATION
Name: Your character’s full name in Western order, or first name followed by family name.
Age: There are no guidelines for character ages as Magnoshutatt accepts students of all ages. However, if your character looks a certain age but is actually a different one or there is something else you would like noted, it goes here.
Canon: Whichever canon your character is from.
Canon Point: From which point in time are you taking your character?
Species: Are they human? Alien? Animal?
Gender: You character’s gender. This is for rooming purposes.
Background: A wiki link or two will generally suffice, but we would like to get a general feel of the world your character comes from. More references are always better, especially if applying for a minor character.
Appearance: What your character looks like when they arrive. A link to an image will suffice. For those who are using a PB, please provide their name as well as a link to a picture. A written description is also welcome.
Personality: Please describe your character’s personality! This is the main section we will be looking at so please describe anything you feel necessary to show who they are as a person. Examples include but are not limited to: surface traits, flaws, motivations, values, relationships and quirks. This should be a detailed and in-depth section and though there is no minimum length, your personality section’s overview should be comprehensive.
Powers/Abilities: Your character’s magical and physical abilities. Superhuman and/or mystical powers may be limited depending on their strength and we may ask you for suggestions on this, as hopefully you will know best how to reduce your character’s powers without rendering them unplayable.
Inventory: What items will your character be arriving with? In addition, please be aware that characters may be quite suddenly taken from any point. If they were in the shower, for instance, they will find themselves instantaneously in Magnoshutatt and might not arrive with much.
Type Affinity: What type of magic do you want your character to have the highest affinity with? Please list two to three types in order of preference. Check here for a list of the 8 magic types you can choose from.
Wand: The wand your character will be using in-game. Wands, staves, rods, books and tomes are commonly used, but it can be anything. For example, Titus from Magi uses something resembling a rapier and Myers from the same series uses a whip. This wand has to be something they have owned in canon at one point. It will appear in their hands once they arrive through the dungeon gate. However, if your character does not possess anything they can use as a wand, you may state that they will be given a wand by the Academy upon arrival.
Other: Is there something else you want us to know about your character?
SAMPLE
We’d like to see of sample of your playing! Mostly, we want to see how you integrate your character’s personality and mannerisms in how you roleplay them. Feel free to link a post/thread from another game, dressing room, or musebox. We’d like to see at least ten comments from your character in the thread/post. You may include multiple entries/threads if you feel that one doesn't cover enough of your character’s personality. If you don’t have anything to link, please write an example entry. The example entry should have at least 300 words. The sample can be both prose or actionspam, but it must be action (= no "network" posts) and should also include some introspection, and it must be the version of your character that you are apping (= no AU).
All apps must have CHARACTER | CANON | RESERVED/NOT RESERVED in the subject line.
